Kevin Pilling

Built in Sweden by Bengt Walstrom he had brought the blue painted '32 coupe over to England to race at the drag strips. It's not clear how it came about but British drag racer Keith Harvey purchased the car for himself to race and painted it red. Not long after this it was sold to Kevin Pilling.

Kevin completely revamped the car from drag racer to hot rod. He created a stunning car with two tone paint and sliding soft top roof. It drew looks everywhere it went, mainly due to fact that the masses had not seen many 5 window coupe hot rods on the road at this point. 

It was on the cover and featured in Custom Car magazine in February 1976

Carrying the number plate of Y BE 1 the car has continued to be referred to by that very plate. Lost for some time it recently reappeared looking more of a traditional hot rod with different paint and a new number plate number.
